A Wednesday. Got the camera out of the bag, and like a metaphor for life, it proved that just getting started is often all you need. When it’s in your hand, you start looking for ideas, and start looking for cool windows that the world is offering to you, even if you would normally look right past them. Doesn’t make the photos any good, just makes taking them fun. This is why I think there will always be a place for dedicated cameras, even for consumers. It’s nice having an object that has its one purpose.
The day was typical, the 9 to 5, learning more After Effects. I noticed I’ve been getting more and more recommended instagram posts of Charles Bukowski quotes for some reason. For the people who disliked my take on Rupi Kauer, you will at least find consistency in my take on Bukowski. He’s the Rupi Kauer for edgy intellect-lords who’ve seen other people’s videos on Nietzsche. Nothing more embarrassing than those facebook-style quote pictures with Bukowski smoking a fat stogy and some phrase like “Acceptance? Who needs it. I refuse to accept their need to accept me.” This stuff makes me want to commit die.
The picture above is a simple ticketing machine but in a cool spot/light. A very normal day.
See you tomorrow.
