Bae is in NYC! With my friends! Without me! While I’m in Germany haha. Funny how life works, aint it? But for real I’m glad she’s having fun and representing our good vibes while I’m still here. One day, we’ll both be able to go at the same time, I just know it.
The picture above was taken on my daily walk and actually a reminder of some reasons why I enjoy living here for the time being. A whole light, just for bicycles? That’s adorable. And, because of the incompetent leadership of the Mainz municipality, many roads have speed limits lower then the rapid cruise-rate of a bike, actually making it oftentimes faster to ride around the city than use a car! Oh how the drivers bark obscenities while they are passed by some chunky dude (not me, just using this random hypothetical guy as an example. Once again, I am not referring to myself) on E-bike sipping an orange soda.
Got a lot done today,but I did promise to go into the office for real tomorrow, for the first time since my confrontation with the virus. Home office is nice, but hybridity is where it’s at. The day feels more productive when you get work done somewhere else. No clue wht, probably socially enforced programming to keep us drones happy while we slave away. But, reasons aside, it feels how it feels. So, looking forward to that, meeting the rest of my coworkers in person, and getting out of this damn house.
