Even when I don’t mention anything specific, when I use photos like the one up here as the special, chosen photo to represent the entire day, you must have some indication of my state of mind. And honestly, it’s probably more accurate and much more revealing than any description I could possibly write of my thoughts. Yeah, I have a good amount of tea. Wow, great content there, nardi. And is that just a bit out of focus? Well done, truly. No other photo you can use, even just a picture of your blank white wall? You didn’t take any others? Tremendous initiative.
The job is step by step ramping up my responsibilities which is both exciting and unnerving. But then I do find moments to remind myself that this work is actually what I do. I’m getting paid to do creative things. No, it’s not making avant garde hot dog brand commercials that will scare the elderly demographic into buying Nathan’s instead of oscarmayer wieners, but not every dream can be realized. I get to write, and I get to edit, and I get to learn new things in Illustrator and After effects, and take home the gainfuls from my employment. Is it annoying when they schedule a bunch of meetings and keep on adding new tasks? Yeah. But as a man who truly wants to find a way to not work in a 9-5 type job at all, I would feel this way at any job, and probably much worse. So yeah, take a look around at whatever you got going on, and remember to be grateful, truly grateful, for the good bits. And if you don’t have any, just remember that some people are simply burdened with that lot in life, but it is because of your suffering that people like me can enjoy our lives. I hope you take that to heart, and it gives you some happiness. We superior privileged ones thank you for your service.
See you tomorrow.
