Getting Back to Normal

Believe it or not, I do actually have a job. And after all the shenanigans from May to July, even I almost forgot that fact. Getting back to a normal routine was not easy; as I write this from September, I can say it’s only now just starting to feel right. But as I returned and settled in, I was almost immediately handed a new Change Management project, creating a new site for a company’s intranet and filling it with videos, images, and text, all to help the employees accept their new cloud-file system. Why am I telling you this? Because these companies love my voice for some reason, and made me their spokesperson for the video after I wrote the script and storyboard. Listen to this:

Note: I’m pretty sure this is fine to share here since it’s not an advertisement and can be classified as part of my portfolio, but in any case, keep it hush hush lol

Did you enjoy that? Life is funny sometimes. I came up with that “(almost) everywhere” line, too. This is why they pay me the middle class bucks. In any event, this was definitely a fun project, but honestly it wasn’t even finished until the beginning of September, but since it was given to me mid-July, I made the exception to boost this post with the final product.

But yeah, that one kept me busy. There was also one particularly great day a few days after my return, where me and Victoria went to see her niece perform in a play. The village isn’t far, but even in the 20 minute drive, the German landscape can be breathtaking. For privacy reasons and the fact that children can’t really consent to their pics being on the internet, I won’t show you the play itself, but I CAN show you the bbq sauce Vici’s sister had at her house afterwards when we all had bratwursts. And of course that landscape I was talking about:

The rest of July was surprisingly eventful. Went to an amusement park, had parties on the Rhein river, and oh yeah, had my graduation party! Celebrating a 4.0 Masters baby!

Thanks for sticking in there, and see you tomorrow for my recap of the month of August. Would you believe me if I said there was ANOTHER wedding?

Nick
